Strong Leaders, Stronger Teams

August 6, 2026

At Texas Valley Clinical Research, we believe caring for our community starts with supporting the people who make our work possible.

Last month, two members of our leadership team completed Gallup's Manager Program, continuing education designed to strengthen coaching, communication, and leadership skills. It's one of the ways we invest in our team so they can continue providing the high standard of care and research our participants, sponsors, and partners expect.

Why Leadership Matters

Every organization is shaped by its leaders. Gallup's research reflects what we've experienced ourselves: managers account for at least 70% of the variance in employee engagement scores across business units, according to Gallup's State of the American Manager: Analytics and Advice for Leaders report. That influence extends beyond morale, affecting how people collaborate, solve problems, and grow together.

In clinical research, strong leadership also supports consistency. Experienced managers help teams navigate complex study protocols, communicate effectively, maintain high standards of quality, and create an environment where both employees and study participants feel supported. Investing in leadership ultimately strengthens the work we do and the experience we provide for everyone involved in our research.

Continuing to Learn

The training focused on practical leadership skills that managers use every day, from having meaningful conversations and recognizing individual strengths to helping team members continue developing professionally. Through live instruction and ongoing coaching, participants gained tools they can apply long after the program ends.

For Diana, the experience provided confidence as she stepped into a leadership role.

"Stepping into a leadership role can be daunting, but this training provided the exact roadmap I needed and has given me the confidence to lead effectively. The instructor was highly knowledgeable, and the material was engaging."

Omar also left with a renewed perspective on leadership.

"One can be sure that they will leave the Gallup Manager Training Course enlightened with a fresh perspective on how effective managers operate within their organizations."

A Commitment to Growth

Learning doesn't stop once someone joins our team. Continuing education is an important part of how we strengthen our organization, whether through clinical certifications, professional development, or leadership training.

Omar and Diana are the first leaders at TVCR to complete Gallup's Manager Program, but they won't be the last. Additional members of our leadership team are expected to participate in future sessions as we continue investing in the people who guide our teams and support our mission. By developing strong leaders, we're strengthening the collaboration, consistency, and quality that our participants, research partners, and community can count on.
